Answer

Summary

Sometimes you may have trouble accessing or using one of our online resources. Here are the recommended solutions:

  1. Check for known issues
  2. Refresh the page (press F5 on your keyboard)
  3. Clear the browser cache or cookies
  4. Use a different browser
  5. Restart your device
  6. Explore troubleshooting suggestions
  7. Find another password
  8. Report the problem to the library

Below are some of the more common issues with their appropriate solution.

Fix browser issues

  1. Refresh the page (press F5 on your keyboard).
  2. Use a different browser to access the resource.
  3. Clear your cache and cookies. Learn how to do this by searching Google/Bing 'clear cache' with your chosen browser e.g. 'Clear cache chrome'.
  4. Restart your device.

Fix login or password issues

If you have any questions about your UniSC network login and password, contact the IT Service Desk.

If you are certain your UniSC network login and password are correct, there may be a temporary problem with access to the Library databases. You may contact the library via Tel: +61 7 5430 2804, email LibraryHelp@usc.edu.au or report an issue with access to online Library resources.

Additional password needed

Some databases require an additional password, while others may only require another password if you are accessing them off campus.

Check the information provided on the A-Z databases page. This will tell you whether the database requires another password or if access is restricted to certain users. If you need another password see the Additional Passwords (UniSC network login required) on the Databases page, or contact the library Tel: +61 7 5430 2804.
